Alex Stokle is a British born artist who spent his childhood in Bahrain in the Middle East due to his parents work commitments.
Later on he went to study Animation in London.
Alex has also spent a number of years working in Manchester and Sydney.
He now calls Wellington Home.
His chaotic cartoon style reflects the scenes and shenanigans that come from the places he has lived and traveled to over the years.
His inspiration comes from classic comic books such as Buster and Beano, and animated cartoons such as Tom and Jerry, Scooby Doo, and the Simpsons.
Alex's work has featured on the covers of Timeout magazine, and lately he has done illustration work for the New Zealand arts festival and Wellington Museum.
